At AppFolio, I was a product and service designer. I designed, researched, and supported engineering for the online payment portal experience and various property manager app experiences.
In the space of service design, I collaborated across the service and product organization to support bringing new vertical service offerings to market, addressing needs across onboarding, training, customer service, & product experience.

  • AppFolio Online Portal - app responsible for facilitating rent collection for 1% of rent payments in the US, and counting
  • Key features for property managers, including texting, accounting, move-out process, tenant management, & owner communications
  • Customer journey mapping in support of customer support & community association vertical
  • Service design efforts to support self-service for customers using AI

I enjoy applying my skills through the whole customer experience. I know that my when what I design enters the real-world, there will something new to support, educate about, sell, and market.

I am keen on strategizing these aspects just as much as I want to focus on the design and implementation of the ideas developed through research, ideation, and evaluation.

I also enjoy supporting systems that allow designers and teams to focus on strategy. Specifically, developing business and design tools that can be reused and improved over time.
